Bordertown is a shared-world Urban Fantasy series for teen readers. A "shared-world" series is written by multiple authors, telling stories set in the same milieu: in this case, a modern, ravaged, multi-ethnic city on the border of the Faerie Realm.
In addition to creating and editing the series, I also wrote the following works of fiction for the five Bordertown anthologies:
"Gray," a novella in Borderland
"Exile," a story in Bordertown
"Mockery," a novella co-written with Ellen Kushner in Bordertown
"Rain and Thunder," a novella in Life on the Border
"The Tough Guide to Bordertown," an imaginary guidebook in The Essential Bordertown
"Welcome to Bordertown," a novella co-written with Ellen Kushner in Welcome to Bordertown
"Bordertown is one of the most important places where Urban Fantasy began."
- Neil Gaiman
